春の七草を説明してみよう

The seven spring grasses known in Japan since old times are persley, shepherd's purse, cottonweed, chickweed, henbit, turnip, and radish. The custom of putting these grasses into a rice soup and eating it spread during the heian Period.
It is believed that by eating the seven-grass rice soup one can avoid hardship and gain long life and prosperity.
